About
“It is through immersion in the ordinary that the apparently empty, meaningless and trivial experiences of a routine day that life is encountered and lived. Real living is not about words, concepts and instructions, but about experiences of who or what is before us. The self forgetfulness, that such an experience requires, is the essence of contemplative living.”
Brennan Manning, Ruthless Trust
Since May 2004, I have focused my time on exhibiting and selling my photography at art festivals in the eastern United States. Attending these art festivals and getting to discuss my art with others has allowed me to learn much about myself and the art that continues to be my passion.
Through these art festivals I have met countless people who love photography, and thanks to them my art now adorns the walls of private collections across the country.
My vision and art is an instrument that has continually presented lessons about life and my relationship with God and others.
In 1991, I began exhibiting my photography in galleries and museums throughout the Southeastern United States. I attended the Atlanta College of Art, eventually going on to earn a degree in photography from Nashville State.
In 1994, I spent a life-changing summer at the Maine Photographic Workshop. There I learned from master photographers such as Mary Ellen Mark, Joyce Tennisson, Keith Carter, Jay Meisel, and Steve Bliss. They taught through workshop and by example that photography is ART, and they encouraged me to continue finding my photographic voice.
