Vision

Rusting metal. Roadside signs. Doors, their handles ripe with possibilities on both sides of the door. Everyday sights—yet anything but ordinary. Each as unique as the moment that surrounded it. Each offering an image of beauty solely its own.

My photography is my journey to slow down and notice, to be aware of the simple beauty that is often closer than I think. My creative vision and philosophy is to look for that potential of beauty everywhere, in everything. To remember that God is at work everywhere is to not prejudge my surroundings, but is to remember that a moment of color and clarity may be waiting where I least expect it.

One of the blessings of photography is its ability to stop time—freezing it, yet still allowing it to breathe. And in that momentary stillness, we, too, have a chance to breathe. To slow down. To glimpse the divine in the daily.

I offer my photographs as moments of presence and of rest.
